A GRAND SEASIDE ESTATE.  Celebrate your special occasion at this stunning seaside property, Castle Hill on The Crane Estate.  The Crane Estate, a property of the trustees of reservations, encompasses over 2,100 acres overlooking Crane Beach, Crane wildlife refuge and winding salt marshes.  The exclusive use of The Great House is the perfect venue for your dream day.    Please contact our Private Event Department at 978.356.4351 for further details and a private tour.

The Great House accommodates up to 200 guests inside.  Tenting is required for groups over 200 for which there is an additional fee.

GREAT HOUSE RENTAL FEES — 2008 & 2009
The five-hour rental* period is Friday and Saturday from 5PM - 10PM.  We cannot accommodate day-time use due to public programs and house tours at The Great House. All events must end by 10PM; unless overtime has been purchased in advance.  Sunday events; client chooses the start time ending no later than 10 PM.  Overtime is available Friday – Sunday, 10PM - 11PM, for $1,500 per hour. Overtime is not available after 11PM.

*When the ceremony takes place at Castle Hill, the five-hour rental begins with the ceremony contracted time. Castle Hill is not available for rehearsals prior to the day of the rental.

ALL RENTAL FEES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

  • Exclusive use of the Great House event rooms and immediate surrounding grounds.
  • Gate person to welcome guests and direct them to parking area.
  • Parking attendant (no valet service).
  • Event Manager to supervise all staff, vendor activities, and private events staff who perform security, maintenance, and general service functions throughout the rental period.
  • Private changing rooms for the bride and the groom when ceremony is held at Castle Hill.
  • Dining tables and chairs for up to 200 guests, arranged according to client specifications, as well as 200 outdoor chairs for ceremony setup. 

DEPOSIT SCHEDULE:   First deposit: due upon confirmation of date (50% of rental fee)

  • Second deposit: due in January of event year or 6 months prior to the event date, whichever comes first (50% of rental fee)
  • Remaining rental and beverage balances: due thirty (30) days prior to rental date

All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.  In the event of a cancellation, all deposits are retained by Castle Hill.
